Planned & Executed- Now There Is Work To Be Done

  • PLANNED & EXECUTED

Waddup My Familia???

How ya'll been doing?? I see the last post was Jennifer updating ya'll on our BBQ on the 30th August. Guess what???
IT WAS A BOMB!!

We planned & ya'll executed it. Thanks..

Okay things been really really sweet....All smooth flowing with minor speed bumps..Come on you cant speed everything up all the way. Hahahaha....

Our hosts James Sasi and Rita Subramaniam were awesome....Thanks to them we had a venue for the BBQ. Well they are familia, they probably feel like a load of dry ice being dumped on their heads....Hahahaha....Well its true la, what they had done for the venue is mind blowing la.

We planned the whole thing up in just a few months, it is afterall an annual thing.
(YOU CAN LOOK FORWARD TO OUR CHRISTMAS PARTY!!!!). All planned up, but there is one thing which scared us all senseless... WILL THERE BE ANYONE COMING?? Mainly because we had put up our RSVP for the event on facebook. And as of the eve of the barbecue, only 29 confirmed. (of course it wasnt the only medium we spread the news on the bbq). I am impressed when we had the actual numbers for those who came. We had approximately, 103 people attended our party. Excluding the comitee members. And we only expected 70 - 80 people to turn up....

By the way some of the picures are up in our facebook group profile. Besides the hectic schedule all of us had that day, we are amazed how a small, noisy bunch like us all, could make a huge difference. I was amazed listening to the feed back and testimonies we got. We practically heard people saying this is the first time in ages they had such good clean fun.

Food was awesome!!!!!!!!!! BBQ Chicken Wings, Lamb, Prawns, Sweet potatoes, Corn...Just to name a few..There were many side-dishes that practically wiped clean. Hahahaha....No joke!! I am serious... Remember the time Jesus had fed 5000 +++ people??? I would say that is what we experienced on that day. By the end of the BBQ, we had a container full of chicken wings, a tupperware full of prawns and lamb. Believe me, when Jennifer does her shopping, it will be just nice for how many people we roughly budgetted to come around 90. The last time we had our Christmas Party we had like 2 besens full of lamb and chicken wings. We had that brought back home after dividing it among ourselves.

I had loads of fun. Met loads of new people, loads of connections made. Even got to know people I never knew would be connected to Radically Saved indirectly.

  • -Now There Is Work To Be Done

We had people telling us why do this BBQ, why waste time and effort? Well I would simply say, the joy of seeing loads of people coming together having fun and not side-tracking is simply awesome.

Last Sunday was suppose to be our Thanksgiving Prayers for the BBQ we had. A small one, just among us core RS people. Unfortunately, the event was canceled at the last minute. Little that we know that upon taking the invitation of Ps. Paul Singam to attend a prayer meet would forever put in place and root deeply in all our RS people the vision and the cause we had taken up.

We was suggested to meet up a group of people from India. They had something similar to Radically Saved but they started in 1989 itself. They were from an organization called Young Fishermen Team. They are based in Coimbatore, India. What they do for the young people there was such an eye opener. What we strive to do here, they are already doing it. Isnt it amazing that an example, no no a tap on the shoulder, no no, a slap on the back of your head. That is how it felt that time. A group from a 3rd world country had to meet us up at a pre-estined time and place by God to wake us all up.

I was impress for the fact that they had a humble beginnings like us as well. They were led by Ps. Selvin Raj. They started off with just 8 people and grew to 14,100 people and majority are youths in just a short span of 10 years. In fact what they do is very much aligned with what we had in stored for Radically Saved. It was a huge confirmation for us that we are already in line and moving with our multiple confirmations we had previously. Even they shared and preched in Tamil, yet the message was so strong that it moved us to really speak and talk to the Pastor. We really would like to thank Ps. Paul Singam for enabling us to meet up with these people.

They were impressed of what we do, how we move and what we stand for. They too receive a lot of persecutions and tribulations. We are so lucky we are allowed to move freely in what we do. What they face at India with fanatisicm and crap like that just made us think what we do here is just a fraction of what is yet to come. We are fully convince that we will perservere in everything and anything we do. It will be no doubt that many things are yet to be done.

We had just begin our journey. Radically Saved would be like BOMBS going of in hearts on many young people generation. By the way if you havent got in touch with us. please do look us up on facebook.

Just type Radically Saved in the search box we will be there as a group page. Speak to us. Get in touch.

Peace, Word!

Hendry Rao,
Radically Saved Team.
